Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Room Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing raw materials and packaging components to ensure smooth production flow in a fast-paced food processing environment. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of sanitation, safety, and efficiency while supporting the overall manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

- Operate packaging equipment and machinery to prepare products for further processing or shipment
- Use forklifts safely to move raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods within the prep area
- Ensure all items meet food safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols and proper handling procedures
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, report malfunctions, and assist with mechanical troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory records of packaging materials and raw ingredients using basic math skills




- Follow strict food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures to uphold cleanliness standards in the prep room
- Assist with loading and unloading supplies, ensuring proper storage and organization in the manufacturing area

Skills

- Experience with packaging processes in a food industry or manufacturing setting
- Valid forklift certification and ability to operate forklifts safely
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues quickly
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices relevant to food processing environments
- Basic math skills for inventory management and measurement tasks
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
