Job Summary

Mabel's Bakery is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious pastries from scratch.

We are looking for a full time employee who will be available on weekends or a part time employee looking for at least 3 shifts per week including weekends.

Duties

- Prepare doughs, batters and fillings to meet daily production demand
- Bake and assemble bars, cookies and yeasted products to company standards
- Mask layer cakes to company standards within the assigned time frame
- Ensure all food preparation meets food safety standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to fulfill customer orders
- Assist with inventory management of laminated dough products to ensure proper stock rotation, proper storage and enough available product to meet demand
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen

Experience




- Previous experience in a pastry cook role or similar position
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Experience working in a restaurant or bakery setting
- Proficiency in baking and working with yeasted dough products
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
- Demonstrated ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per day and to lift up to 20 kilos regularly
