THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist to join our growing Finance team. Supporting payroll for 500+ employees, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our teams are paid accurately and on time while maintaining accurate payroll records and providing responsive support across the business. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support payroll preparation and processing for both salaried and hourly employees including vacation pay, sick time, and off-cycle payments
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records including, new hires, compensation changes, terminations, and other payroll-related information
- Assist with employee benefit administration, including managing enrollments, deductions, and reconciliations
- Provide responsive payroll support to employees and leadership team regarding pay, tax deductions,



benefits coverage while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Communicate payroll deadlines, changes, and important updates to employees and leaders
- Support payroll compliance and regulatory requirements including workers’ compensation reporting and administration
- Complete month-end and year-end reconciliations, audits, and payroll reporting summaries
- Support the preparation of payroll journal entries, ensuring accurate recording of payroll expense, taxes, deductions, and liabilities
- Review expense reports for completeness, required supporting documentation, appropriate coding, and compliance with company policies
- Track outstanding expense reports and approvals to ensure timely reimbursement and accurate financial records
- Assist with the entry and processing of vendor invoices, ensuring invoice details, applicable taxes, and coding are recorded accurately
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc payroll reporting and special projects

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum 1 - 2 years of payroll administration experience
- Has or is working towards Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Designation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ADP, Push Technologies, and other payroll systems is highly desirable

COMPENSATION

Salary range: $63,000 - $75,000

LFG Growth Partners advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia’s pay transparency laws. Compensation within the range will be determined by evaluating factors such as job-related skills, education and/or training, and relevant professional experience. The range details above reflect base pay only, and does not include our comprehensive health benefits, and competitive bonus program.
