Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various care settings. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will support clients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity
- Support clients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both the client and yourself
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate documentation of all medication-related activities
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food handling and hygiene standards
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and enhance mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning client living areas, laundry, and maintaining a tidy workplace
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior promptly to supervising healthcare staff

Qualifications





- Previous experience working as a Personal Support Worker or in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those living with dementia is advantageous
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols is required
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently while adhering to hygiene standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent credential is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if needed
