PSW – Part Time

Seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in the North West Scarborough area to assist with personal needs for one male ALS patient in their home.

Rate: $25/h. 15-22h/week

Days Needed: Monday, Friday, Saturday, maybe Sunday

Shift: Morning-Afternoon

- Current PSW Certificate or similar certification, CPR & First Aid required
- Police Vulnerable Check required
- Must be eligible to work in Canada with SIN
- Available to work during the weekends with an emphasis on morning/afternoon schedule.
- Previous experience with ALS/MS/Paraplegic/Quadriplegic patients preferred.

Duties

- Lifting, positioning and transferring. Knowledge of Hoyer Lift
- Bowel/Bladder, Bathing, Grooming and Dressing assistance
- Light meal prep and feeding assistance needed
- Light Tidying/Household chores
- Must be reliable, punctual and motivated
- Ability to work independently. Driver with their own vehicle preferred
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds and be willing to use a Hoyer lift required for patient transfers.
