Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy operations, patient care, and medical terminology. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering exceptional patient service while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and inventory levels to ensure efficient stock management.
- Provide compassionate patient care by answering questions and offering guidance on medication usage.
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims to support pharmacy operations.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations,



including proper storage of medications and sanitation procedures.
- Support medication administration processes when required, ensuring accuracy and safety for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication regarding patient needs and medication plans.

Experience

- Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with pharmacy workflows.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures is essential.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent patient care within a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and pharmacy software tools is advantageous.
