Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacy staff in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, excellent driving skills and have experience in a retail pharmacy setting.

This position is vital in helping to maintain the highest standards of pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Organize and manage pharmacy supplies, including restocking as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
- Support the daily operations of the pharmacy, including cleaning and maintaining work areas.
- Drive, deliver,



and witness consumption of medications by patients and document appropriately under the pharmacist's supervision.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowlege of Kroll software is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Commitment to providing high-quality customer service in a retail setting
- Have a valid driver's licence
