Mernova Medicinal is a fast-growing cannabis producer dedicated to crafting high-quality products in a clean, safe, and collaborative environment. We are looking for a Post-Harvest Technician to join our Operations team.

Job Summary

This is a hands-on role supporting our post-harvest operations, including drying, take-down, curing, trimming, shredding, and bulk packaging. As a Post-Harvest Technician, you will help ensure cannabis products are handled efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company SOPs and production standards. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable with repetitive hands-on work, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supporting post-harvest activities including drying, take-down, curing, trimming, shredding, and bulk packaging
- Trimming and sorting cannabis plants efficiently while maintaining product quality and consistency
- Weighing and accurately recording wet and dry trim weights
- Completing required production documentation and data entry accurately
- Helping organize daily workflow to meet production schedules and targets
- Supporting and guiding trimming staff to ensure SOPs and production standards are followed
- Cleaning and maintaining trimming rooms, staging areas, equipment, and tools
- Handling cannabis in accordance with company SOPs and applicable regulations
- Following all company safety procedures and Good Production Practices (GPP)
- Communicating workflow concerns or production issues to management




- Supporting training of team members as required
- Assisting with cultivation activities when needed, including cloning, pruning, defoliation, transplanting, harvesting, drying, and packaging
- Assisting with other production-related duties as required

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cannabis or post-harvest experience is preferred
- Knowledge of cannabis plants and post-harvest processes is an asset
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Able to accurately weigh and record product information
- Reliable and able to meet production deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance and pass a Criminal Background Check

Work Conditions:

- Use of safety equipment is required (toe-covered shoes, gloves, hair nets, arm covers, safety glasses, etc.)
- May be required to work outside regular business hours depending on production demands

Pay: $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate

- Windsor, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
