As Saskatchewan's provincial water management agency, WSA is responsible for protecting water resources, managing critical infrastructure, reducing flood and drought risk and supporting economic growth through responsible resource management.
We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as our next President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a unique opportunity to lead a public sector organization and help shape Saskatchewan’s future through strategic leadership, partnership and innovation.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO provides strategic leadership and organizational direction while fostering strong relationships with government, Indigenous communities, municipalities, industry partners, stakeholders and employees.
Key Accountabilities
As the President & CEO, you will:
Provide Visionary Leadership
Be able to clearly articulate a vision and provide strategic leadership and direction to advance WSA's mandate, long-term objectives and organizational success.
Support Governance and Accountability
Partner with the Board of Directors to establish strategic priorities,
support effective governance and ensure organizational accountability.
Execute Strategy and Deliver Results
Lead the execution of WSA's strategic plan by aligning people, resources and priorities with government direction and stakeholder expectations.
Lead Organizational Performance and Culture
Foster a high-performing, accountable and engaged workplace culture through effective executive leadership, talent development, change management and continuous improvement.
Build Strategic Relationships and Influence
Develop and maintain strong relationships with government, Indigenous communities, municipalities, industry partners and stakeholders while representing WSA provincially and nationally.
Ensure Sustainable Stewardship
Provide leadership on complex policy, regulatory and operational matters while ensuring responsible stewardship of financial, human and physical resources to support Saskatchewan's water future.
What You’ll Bring
- Senior executive leadership experience in a complex and/or public service organization.
- Proven success leading strategy, transformation and organizational performance.
- Strong governance, financial stewardship and board relations experience.
- Exceptional people leadership skills with a focus on culture and talent development.
- Strong relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- A demonstrated commitment to public service, collaboration and accountability.
- Executive experience in water management, infrastructure, environmental stewardship, natural resources or public administration would be considered an asset.
