Position Overview The Printing Maestro will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed products. This role involves preparing materials, setting up machines, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the printing process.

Who You Are

You are a detail-oriented and technically skilled professional with experience in printing. You are known for delivering high-quality, accurate work in fast-paced production environments. With a strong focus on precision and problem-solving, you ensure colour accuracy, troubleshoot equipment, and optimize performance to meet deadlines.

You work collaboratively with teams, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and are proactive in addressing production issues, making you a reliable and effective contributor to any project.

Key Responsibilities:

● Set up, operate, and maintain UV digital printing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

● Preparation of files using Colour Byte software for UV printing for both braille and conventional print processes

● Work closely with the design team to create artwork that ensures printability and repeatability.

● To remain current with ADA, AODA, Braille Literacy and new printing technologies

● Prepare substrates and inks for printing, ensuring proper alignment and colour matching for accurate output.

● Monitor the printing process to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as necessary to maintain consistency and accuracy. Inspect printed products for defects, colour accuracy, and overall quality.

● Identify and resolve issues related to printing equipment and processes, coordinating with maintenance teams as necessary.





● Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.

● Maintain accurate production logs, including material inventory, quantities produced, and any issues encountered during the printing process.

● Work closely with design and production teams to ensure timely completion of projects, providing feedback on design feasibility and production timelines.

● Follow safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery, maintaining a clean and organized work area.

● Provide back up for the laser operator

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in printing technology is a plus.

● 2+ years of experience in digital printing operations, preferably in a production environment.

● Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting digital printing machinery. Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.

● Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision in all aspects of the printing process.

● Ability to lift and handle materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods during shifts.

● Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
