Job Overview:

Supervises the operation of the Production Department to ensure production is on schedule and meets company quality standards within established budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manages all on-shift resources to ensure KPI objectives are being met.
- Responsible for team member safety, productivity, scrap and security.
- Coach, mentor, and assist employees to ensure that employees are equipped to deliver the needed results and have access to learn the skills needed to be successful.
- Prepares and administers performance appraisals, and delivers disciplinary actions as required.
- Co-ordinates and evaluates training of all team members, maintains appropriate records, and enforces all manufacturing procedures.
- Assigns tasks to team members and follows up to ensure daily requirements are met.
- Reviews and authorizes time sheets, co-ordinates OT requirements with Scheduling and Production Manager.
- Works scheduled OT as required.
- Attends inter-departmental meetings as required.
- Participates in maintaining all production related requirements associated with ISO9001 quality system.




- Responsible for the quality of all production produced during their shift.
- Completes a variety of reports, including, but not limited to daily production, scrap, downtime, kpi, and attendance.
- Promotes and maintains a clean work setting.
- Participates in conflict resolution.
- Complies with and enforces all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, understanding the value of mutual respect and how it impacts morale in the workplace.
- Effective communicator.
- Leads by example.
- Promote consistency and accountability.
- A proven track record of continuous learning.
- The ability to drive continuous improvement.
- PC literate.
- Previous experience in a leadership role – 2 years minimum.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiar with ERP systems. Previous experience with Plex an asset.

The Shift:

- Full-time, 45 hours per week
- Afternoon shift 1:55pm-11:15pm
- Depending on demand, shift may change in the future
