Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Helper to join our soap manufacturing team. The Production Helper will assist with daily production activities, packaging, material handling, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized production area. The successful candidate should be physically capable, dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist production staff with the manufacturing and processing of soap products.
- Load, unload, move, and organize raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
- Assist with weighing, mixing, filling, cutting, molding, wrapping, labeling, and packaging soap products as instructed.
- Operate basic production equipment after receiving appropriate training.
- Inspect products for quality, appearance, packaging, and labeling.
- Pack finished products into boxes or containers and prepare them for storage or shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and production floors.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow production instructions and procedures provided by supervisors.
- Report equipment problems, damaged materials, product defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist with inventory and storage of materials when required.
- Perform other general production duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required by the job.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to learn manufacturing procedures and operate production equipment.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a soap manufacturing and production environment.
- Occasional weekend work may be required.
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Production Manager Pay: $16.50-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
