Full-Time, Permanent The City of Temiskaming Shores is seeking a motivated, independent, and organized Project Coordinator to join the Community Development Department.

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of project delivery within the department, with a strong focus on event management, stakeholder engagement, sponsorship coordination, and industry programming.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: $28.97 - $32.44 per hour

What You’ll DoAs Project Coordinator, you will support the successful delivery of projects, programs, and events by coordinating logistics, registrations, vendors, sponsors, promotional activities, stakeholders, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities include

- Administering participant registrations and maintaining the online registration portal
- Researching, negotiating, and securing event venues
- Coordinating hotel accommodations and room blocks
- Supporting intergovernmental relations with municipal, provincial, and federal governments
- Developing and managing sponsorship opportunities and sponsor relationships
- Tracking project budgets, expenditures, payments, and financial records
- Coordinating promotional and marketing materials
- Representing the City at mining industry trade shows and events
- Liaising with trade show organizers regarding logistics, booth requirements, exhibitor services, and schedules
- Planning and implementing the Speaker Series at the PDAC Convention
- Recruiting, scheduling, and supervising volunteers
- Coordinating multiple project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications
- Maintaining relationships with vendors, sponsors, speakers, volunteers, and industry partners
- Preparing reports, maintaining project documentation, and providing administrative support





QualificationsThe successful candidate will have:
- A diploma from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Event Management, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience coordinating events, conferences, trade shows, or industry programs
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience assisting with budgets, financial tracking, and payment reconciliation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online registration or event management systems
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work evenings and weekends to attend events
- Bilingualism is considered an asset
