WHAT YOU’LL DO:
An exciting and challenging position exists as aProject ManageratCoolIT’shead office in Calgary, Alberta.In thisroleyou will reportintotheProductdepartment andfacilitatetheexecution ofkeyinternal and external development projects.Projectsmayinclude the development of ourmore complexCoolant Distribution Units (CDUs) andPassive Coolant Loops (PCLs), andlargercontinuous improvement projects.This role sets project execution standards, mentors other Project Managers, and ensures project outcomes drive business value and competitive advantage.This isa great opportunityforhighlyskilledProject Managerswith experience in theAdvanced Technology sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead large, complex NPI and strategic improvement projects, driving alignment with businessobjectivesand technical innovation.
- Define project scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, and resource plans with minimal oversight, ensuring cross-functional accountability.
- Anticipate and mitigate execution risks across engineering, manufacturing,test, and supply chain functions.
- Mentor and support Project Managers in applying best practices, risk management, and communication strategies.
- Drive performance through advanced use of project tools (e.g., MS Project,ClickUp), custom dashboards, and KPI tracking.
- Apply structured change management processes tomaintainproject control and stakeholder trust.
- Lead regular program reviews and executive briefings, escalatingissues proactivelywith data-driven insights.
- Facilitate strategic coordination with global teams, including APAC, to support seamless handoffs and resource alignment.
- Champion continuous improvement by standardizing lessons learned and embedding them into future project planning.
WHO YOU ARE:
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience managing hardware-based NPI projects, including team leadership across engineering disciplines.
- Proventrack recordof launching complex electromechanical systems in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Advanced skills in stakeholder management, resource negotiation, and cross-functional alignment.
- Strong command of PLM (e.g., Arena), ERP (e.g., NetSuite),
project tools (e.g., MS Project,ClickUp), and data visualization for reporting.
- Experience mentoring other PMs and influencing project governance and process maturity across an organization.
- Knowledge of software/firmware development coordination, GitHub, and MES tools is an asset.
- PMP or equivalent certificationstronglypreferred.
- Own the definition, planning, and execution of project scope, requirements, timelines, and budgets for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Lead and align multidisciplinary teams—including mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and production—to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Drive proactive risk management, quality assurance, and KPI tracking to achieve projectobjectivesrelated to schedule, cost, and performance.
- Apply sound project governance to control scope changes and maintain alignment with business and customer goals.
- Act asa central pointof accountability for communication, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment across the full project lifecycle.
