Role Description This full-time remote Project Manager role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering transit technology projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
The Project
Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and resources, and oversee communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations. Daily activities include creating and maintaining project plans, tracking progress and risks, facilitating status meetings, and ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements. The role also involves managing vendor and logistics coordination when needed,
preparing project documentation and reports, and driving continuous improvement in project processes to support operational excellence for transit agency customers.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, scope management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Candidates should possess skills in Expediting and Expeditor responsibilities to ensure timely delivery of project materials, tasks, and milestones.
- Candidates should possess Inspection-related skills to verify that project deliverables meet defined quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to coordinate resources, vendors, and implementation activities across multiple locations.
- Experience managing technology or software implementation projects, preferably in transit, transportation, or public sector environments.
- Solid communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize multiple projects, and solve problems proactively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) are an asset.
