About the Centre for Psychodynamic Insights The Centre for Psychodynamic Insights (CFPI) is a virtual psychotherapy clinic based in Toronto, Ontario, specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Our work is grounded in evidence-based care and focused on uncovering the emotional and unconscious roots of psychological distress. Through in-depth, collaborative therapeutic relationships, we explore how early relational patterns, unconscious conflicts, and developmental history influence present experiences.

We are committed to fostering meaningful change by developing tailored, integrative treatment plans rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches. Our clinicians support patients in gaining deeper self-awareness and achieving lasting transformation through analytical insight, emotional processing, and therapeutic depth.

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate bilingual Psychotherapist, with fluency in both English and French, to join our team in a part-time, fully remote role. This position is ideal for a clinician whose primary theoretical orientation is psychodynamic or psychoanalytic and who values long-term, depth-oriented therapeutic engagement. Being registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) is a requirement.

You will work virtually with adolescents and adults (13+), supporting individuals experiencing a range of concerns, including trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and sexual or relational difficulties. The role allows for a flexible caseload, with a preference for clinicians who are open to seeing patients one to four times weekly.

Core Responsibilities

- Manage a caseload of at least 8 patients per week, with flexibility in scheduling.
- Document and schedule sessions using JaneApp, adhering to clinical documentation standards.
- Maintain a confidential and secure virtual workspace, with reliable internet, good lighting, and a high-quality camera.
- Use a dedicated business phone line for patient communications.
- Experience and willingness to work with patients diagnosed and presenting with BPD, OCD, ADHD, ASD, addictions, complex disorders, high-risk patients, and patients with suicidal history.
- Be open to registering with IFHP, IVAC, and NIHB, as needed.
- Willingness to contribute to our Affordable Care Program with at least 20% of your patients.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in counselling psychology or clinical psychology.
- Fluency in English and French
- Registered and in valuable standing with the CRPO.
- Primary orientation in psychodynamic or psychoanalytic therapy. This may include training or experience in Jungian analysis, Adlerian theory, Object Relations, or related approaches.
- Clinical foundation obtained through: personal analytic therapy, academic study, supervision, clinical experience, and/or training.
- Experience and confidence in working virtually with both adolescents and adults.

Please note:

We are a clinic exclusively practicing psychodynamic and psychoanalytic modalities. Applicants trained primarily in CBT, DBT, or other non-analytic frameworks will not be considered.

Assets

- Clinical experience with children or teens under age 13.
- Familiarity with Bowen Family Systems theory.

- Any other language proficiency.

Availability

- Weekday availability (Monday to Friday), including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Perks and Compensation

- Competitive fee split
- Flexible scheduling
