MC3 Manufacturing
Kingsville
Quality Control Inspector
MC3 Manufacturing Inc. – Ruthven, ON – Wage based on Experience The role
Nothing leaves this shop until someone else has checked it first. That someone is you. Every part, every weld, every assembly passes under your eye before it moves to the next step or out the door to a customer. When you catch a problem early, you save the shop rework, save the customer a bad delivery, and keep the whole operation moving.
We're looking for someone who's spent real time around how parts get made – on a laser, at a machine, on the fab floor, wherever. You know what a good weld looks like and what doesn't sit right. You're not afraid to stop a job and say something's off, even when it slows things down, because you know that's the job. Detail matters to you, but you also know the difference between a real problem and something that doesn't matter.
This role also comes with room to grow. We're looking to put the right person through CSA W178.2 Level 1 and, eventually, Level 2 welding inspection training. If you want to build toward a certified welding inspection role, this is where that starts.
If you take pride in being the last line of defence before something goes wrong, we'd like to meet you.
What you'll be doing
You'll be on the floor for most of your shift, checking parts and assemblies against drawings and specs, and working directly with production to sort out anything that doesn't measure up.
● Inspect parts and assemblies during production and before they ship
● Measure parts using tape measures, callipers, micrometres, and gauges
● Compare finished parts against drawings, specs, and job requirements
● Catch defects, errors, or missing requirements before they move forward
● Fill out inspection records and non-conformance reports clearly and accurately
● Work with welding, machining, laser, and assembly teams to resolve quality issues
● Help track down root causes so problems don't repeat
● Support general shop and continuous improvement tasks as needed
Where this can go
MC3 will support and cover the cost of CSA W178.2 Level 1 welding inspection training for the right person, to progress to Level 2 over time – following the same path our current Welding Inspector took. This isn't a requirement to start, but it's the direction we'd like to grow this role in.
What you bring
You've spent time around manufacturing or fabrication, and you know how to read a print. You care about getting it right, but you're practical about it – you know what actually matters to the finished part and what's just noise.
● Strong mechanical aptitude
● Able to read prints and understand dimensions and tolerances
● Comfortable using basic measuring and inspection tools
● Reliable, organized, and consistent
● Clear communicator – written and verbal
● Comfortable speaking up when something isn't right
1+ year in manufacturing, fabrication, or quality inspection is an asset – but experience in QC specifically isn't required. If you know how parts are made and you've got a sharp eye, we want to talk.
