We are currently looking for a dependable and organized Receiver to join our team at our Edmonton production facility.
The Role The Receiver plays an important role in keeping production running smoothly. You will receive and inspect incoming materials, maintain accurate records, organize and rotate inventory, and ensure ingredients and packaging materials are available when needed.
This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to safely operate material-handling equipment in a busy food-production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload and inspect incoming ingredients, packaging and other materials.
- Confirm deliveries are accurate and check products and trailers for cleanliness, damage and required temperatures.
- Date, label, identify and quarantine received materials until they are released for use.
- Enter receiving information accurately and promptly into the company’s inventory or accounting system.
- Store ingredients and packaging materials in their designated locations, following allergen-control and food-safety requirements.
- Rotate inventory using FIFO principles and ensure expiry dates remain properly sequenced.
- Maintain accurate quantities and identification information on all full and partial pallets.
- Supply Production, Pre-Weigh and Packaging with the ingredients and materials required for scheduled work.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing ingredients, packaging materials and blends.
- Wrap, palletize, load and prepare materials or products for shipment as required.
- Remove empty pallets, waste containers and other materials from production areas as required.
- Assist other departments with forklift operations and material movement.
- Keep receiving and storage areas clean, organized and protected.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety, food safety, allergen-control and HACCP requirements.
- Perform other related receiving and material-handling duties as required.
What You Bring
- Previous receiving, shipping, warehousing or inventory-control experience.
- Experience safely operating forklifts, power pallet jacks and hand pallet jacks.
- Current forklift certification is an asset.
- A solid understanding of FIFO inventory rotation.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience entering inventory or receiving information.
- Strong planning,
organization and time-management skills.
- The ability to prioritize changing demands and support production deadlines.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
- The ability to work respectfully and effectively with a diverse team.
- The physical ability to perform regular material handling, including lifting, moving pallets and spending extended periods standing and walking.

Position Details
- Location: Edmonton, Alberta
- Schedule: Monday – Friday6:45am – 3:00pm
- Wage: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Reports to: Warehouse Coordinator
