We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Red Seal Truck and Transport Inspector to join our dynamic team. Duties

- Conduct thorough inspections of trucks, trailers, and transport equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Perform detailed assessments of mechanical systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, and tires.
- Verify that vehicles meet all legal requirements for roadworthiness and transport regulations.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues or defects.
- Document inspection findings accurately and prepare reports for maintenance teams or regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to prioritize repairs and ensure timely vehicle readiness.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial machinery as needed during inspections or repairs.
- Apply your knowledge of automotive repair, welding, electrical systems, and power tools to assist in maintenance tasks when necessary.
- Ensure all inspection procedures adhere to industry standards and company policies for safety and quality control.

Skills





- Red Seal certification in truck or transport inspection is mandatory.
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy vehicle inspection is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment.
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair, welding, electrical work, schematics interpretation, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during inspections or repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with drivers, fleet managers, and regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and industrial machinery maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, machinery operation, and vehicle inspections.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues confidently.
