Infrastructure is seeking a highly driven and dynamic leader to become our next Regional Business Leader (RBL) for the Québec Region with responsibility for health and safety performance, financial performance, client satisfaction, people engagement and management and delivery of key elements under our One Infrastructure approach. You will report directly to the Infrastructure Business Operations Unit – Operations Leader (BOU-OL) for North America.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Business, Operations, and Financial Management:
- Responsible to understand and uphold the vision, focus, and priorities set for the Infrastructure Business Operating Unit (BOU) and develop a plan for implementation within the region, with specific goals for business performance for the BOU.
- With Business Center Operating Leaders (BCOLs), sets ambitious business goals for BCs and their profit and loss (P&L;) statements, guides and holds leaders accountable for meeting key metrics including, but not limited to, utilization and contribution margin targets, while supporting growth, technical excellence and major projects as needed.
- Partners with Financial Services and the Infrastructure BOU-OL to monitor progress toward annual goals, ensuring operational excellence is reflected through financial performance.
- Works in partnership with Infrastructure RBL colleagues across North America to drive collaboration and work sharing across our communities of practice.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of improvement plans for underperforming BCs as needed.
- People Leadership:
- Function as a highly regarded leader, thought partner and a source of counsel and advice for the region.
- Uphold the culture, vision, and values of Stantec and under the One Infrastructure approach and vision.

- Responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining best in class high performing teams across the region.
- Actively participate in and lead recruitment, career development, employee engagement, succession planning, coaching, mentoring, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the region.
- Responsible for the employee year end conversations (YECs) and performance reviews, goal setting, rate review, and short-term incentive plan (STIP) allocation for the region.
- Client & Project Focus:
- Focuses on client relationship strategy in collaboration with BC, Technical Excellence, Growth, and Major Projects Leaders to drive strong results for client satisfaction surveys within the region.
- Works in partnership with our Growth Team to development strategy to expand our reach and client base utilizing strong Marketing and Business Development plans, Account Management plans, and key pursuit strategies.
- Build strong partnerships with RBLs in other BOUs within the region to foster cross-BOU collaboration client opportunities to diversify the client base, grow new expertise, and drive organic net revenue growth.
- Increases visibility of Stantec by sharing our knowledge and innovation stories through key client engagements and thought leadership content to enhance our reputation and drive revenue.
- Actively contributes to win strategies and successful project execution and has direct involvement in key Infrastructure pursuits as needed and on projects should issues impacting client satisfaction or project management best practices escalate.
- Responsible for compliance with the ISO-certified Integrated Management System and Project Management (PM) Framework.
- Accountable for achieving > 95% PM Framework compliance from internal practice audits.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reinforce and further develop Stantec's high performance culture with a focus on innovation, speed, and productivity, including engagement with our Global Delivery Center in Pune, India.
- Broad Leadership Influence:
- Responsible, along with BC leaders, the RGL, and RDL, for the region’s health and safety culture and performance relative to leading and lagging indicators.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reinforce and further develop Stantec’s high performance culture with a focus on quality, innovation, speed, and productivity.
- Represents the practice through public speaking engagements and attendance at industry and community events, meetings, and conferences.
- Serves as a solid liaison to new acquisitions in their region, creating connections, and integrating any new team members into our practice.
- Supports and drives firm-wide initiatives in collaboration with growth, technical excellence and major projects colleagues.
- Uphold a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and encourages individual integrity with our corporate Business Compliance policies

Formation et expérience
- Êtres inscrit (ou admissible à s’inscrire) à l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
- Personne détentrice d’un diplôme professionnel et membre d’un ordre professionnel, s’il y a lieu.
- Minimum de 15 ans d’expérience dans un milieu de travail multidisciplinaire en ingénierie.
Travail effectué principalement dans un bureau. Des déplacements peuvent être nécessaires à l’occasion. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
