Sunny Unite is seeking a Regional Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee after-sales maintenance operations and service projects across the Toronto region, with a primary focus on retail maintenance services in the Toronto market.

This role will support maintenance coordination for major retail clients, including UNIQLO locations in Toronto, Canada, as well as other commercial retail and food & beverage projects. The position is responsible for coordinating work orders, managing field teams and subcontractors, communicating with clients, and ensuring timely, high-quality completion of maintenance and repair services.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial construction, retail maintenance, facilities management, or project management, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Maintenance Operations

- Oversee the planning, coordination, and full-cycle management of regional maintenance and repair projects.
- Manage daily work order status, technician scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field resource allocation.
- Support maintenance operations for major retail clients, including UNIQLO locations and other commercial projects across Toronto and Eastern Canada.
- Ensure timely completion of service requests while maintaining work quality, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, project closeout, documentation, and follow-up communication.
- Prepare regular progress updates and operational summaries for company leadership.

Client Coordination & Communication

- Maintain regular communication with clients, property management teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Respond to client requests through email, phone calls, text messages, WeChat, and meetings.




- Participate in weekly client coordination meetings to review work order status, open issues, and upcoming priorities.
- Build and maintain solid client relationships to support long-term service partnerships.

Subcontractor & Field Management

- Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate subcontractors, suppliers, technicians, and field teams.
- Guide field teams in following client standards, technical requirements, construction procedures, and quality expectations.
- Monitor job site safety, service quality, and key project milestones.
- Support emergency response, urgent repairs, and issue resolution when needed.
- Travel to project sites as required based on operational needs.

Cost & Operational Control

- Support operational efficiency and cost control for regional maintenance projects.
- Coordinate material procurement, delivery, and distribution.
- Assist in improving maintenance procedures, reporting workflows, and standardized management systems.
- Become familiar with major retail client standards, including UNIQLO maintenance and operational requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or 4+ years of experience in commercial construction, retail maintenance, facilities maintenance, or project management.
- Experience with retail construction, commercial maintenance, or multi-site facilities operations is highly preferred.




- Knowledge of architectural construction, electrical systems, plumbing, and commercial maintenance processes.
- Ability to read construction drawings, technical documents, and work order details.
- Strong field coordination, problem-solving, emergency response, and follow-through skills.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, technicians, or field teams.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client coordination skills.
- Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required for client and internal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel throughout Eastern Canada and other Canadian locations based on project needs.

Location & Travel This role will primarily support projects in the Toronto market and other locations across Ontario and Eastern Canada. Candidates based in Toronto or surrounding areas may be considered. Regular travel is required based on project and operational needs.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
