Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care
- Collect and process laboratory samples, ensuring accurate testing and timely results
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostics to support clinical decisions
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Educate pet owners on health care plans, medication administration, and preventive measures
- Maintain detailed medical records with clarity and accuracy for each patient
- Support the team with kennel management, patient monitoring, and maintaining a clean,
organized work environment
Experience
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting
- Laboratory experience is highly desirable to efficiently handle diagnostic testing procedures
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining compassion and professionalism
- Certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (or equivalent credential) is required for this role
