Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Research Scientist / Director – Oncology Evidence Synthesis. The individual in this role will lead and execute systematic literature reviews in oncology, design evidence synthesis strategies, and oversee the curation and validation of data for cancer-specific databases.

Daily responsibilities include developing protocols, screening and extracting data from interventional studies, assessing study quality, and synthesizing findings into clear, clinically relevant outputs. The role also involves collaborating with data scientists and product teams to refine AI-driven search and extraction processes, ensuring alignment with NCCN and ASCO guidelines and internal methodological standards.

The Research





Scientist / Director will contribute to manuscripts, reports, and presentations, and may mentor team members in evidence synthesis best practices.

Qualifications

- Expertise in oncology and clinical research, including experience with interventional studies and evidence-based medicine.
- Solid background in systematic literature review and evidence synthesis methods with knowledge of Cochrane and PRISMA standards.
- Proficiency in study screening, data extraction, critical appraisal, and quality assessment of clinical trials.
- Advanced skills in scientific writing and communication, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, practical insights for clinicians.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including data scientists and clinicians, in a digital or AI-enabled environment.
- Comfort working with research databases, reference management tools, and basic data analysis or visualization software.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) in oncology, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or a related field; significant relevant experience may substitute for some educational requirements.
- Prior leadership or team oversight experience is beneficial for candidates aiming for the Director level.
- Familiarity with NCCN and ASCO guidelines and regulatory considerations related to oncology evidence is an advantage.
