Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance with product selections, including spirits, wines, and beers
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle cash transactions accurately, and process payments efficiently
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stock replenishment
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase recent or featured items to customers
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with legal age restrictions for alcohol sales by verifying identification
- Keep the store clean, organized,



and well-stocked to promote a positive shopping environment
- Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products and store hours

Skills

- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience, especially in alcohol or beverage sales, is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately
- Proficiency with POS systems and familiarity with retail technology tools
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle challenging situations politely and effectively
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and engage customers through upselling techniques

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Experience

- Cashier: 1 year (preferred)
- Liquor: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- ProServe (preferred)
