Road Foreman – Commercial Plumbing & HVAC

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Road Foreman to join our team and oversee commercial plumbing and HVAC projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

This position is ideal for an experienced mechanical construction professional with a strong background in commercial and high-rise construction. The Road Foreman will be responsible for overseeing multiple job sites, supporting and managing field crews, coordinating with Project Managers, General Contractors and other trades, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a field-based leadership position for someone who understands commercial mechanical construction, can stay organized across multiple projects, solve problems in the field and keep crews productive and projects moving forward.

Responsibilities

· Oversee and coordinate plumbing and HVAC crews across multiple commercial projects.

· Provide leadership, direction and support to site foremen and field personnel.

· Plan and coordinate manpower requirements and assist with labour allocation between projects.

· Monitor project progress, productivity and upcoming work to help keep projects on schedule.

· Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and shop drawings.

· Coordinate mechanical work with Project Managers, General Contractors, site superintendents and other trades.

· Identify and resolve field issues and assist in developing practical solutions.

· Coordinate material requirements, deliveries, equipment and tools required for upcoming work.

· Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor quality, progress and productivity.





· Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, applicable codes and project requirements.

· Assist with scheduling and short-term look-ahead planning.

· Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning and deficiency completion.

· Attend site meetings as required.

· Provide regular updates to Project Managers regarding manpower, progress, scheduling concerns and site issues.

· Help ensure projects maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality.

· Promote and enforce company safety policies and Ontario health and safety requirements.

· Assist with the coordination and supervision of subcontractors when required.

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial plumbing, HVAC or mechanical construction.

· Previous experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Road Foreman or similar leadership position.

· Strong experience working on commercial construction projects.

· High-rise construction experience is considered a strong asset.

· Strong understanding of both plumbing and HVAC systems and installation practices.

· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and shop drawings.

· Experience using Microsoft Excel, Procore and AutoCAD.

· Experience coordinating multiple crews,



projects and competing priorities.

· Highly organized with strong planning, time management and problem-solving skills.

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.

· Comfortable communicating with Project Managers, General Contractors, consultants, site superintendents and other trades.

· Membership with the UA Union is considered an asset.

· Valid Ontario driver's license required.

The Right Candidate The ideal candidate is extremely organized, experienced in commercial mechanical construction and comfortable overseeing multiple projects and crews at the same time.

You should be able to walk onto a job site, quickly understand the status of the project, identify potential issues and work with the site team to develop solutions before those issues impact the schedule.

We're looking for a strong leader who can balance hands-on field knowledge with organization, planning and communication. The successful candidate will take ownership of the work, hold crews accountable and work closely with our Project Managers to ensure projects continue moving forward.
