DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Thorough and complete cleaning requirements in guestrooms, as set by efficiency standards of the hotel, and the accurate reporting of room status.
- Ensure security standards are practiced, to protect guest’s privacy and belongings, as well as employee’s.
- Meet & exceed guest and co-worker expectations by providing ‘yes I can’ service and teamwork.
- Ensure all guests receive prompt attention, providing value added service by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to exceed guest expectations.
- Remove all garbage and soiled linen from corridors in a prompt manner.
- Stock each cart with applicable linens each day as outlined by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Ensure reporting of deficiencies of all equipment and product to Executive Housekeeper.
- Maintain knowledge of cleaning products and safety measures and adheres to the same (WHMIS, Fire/Evacuation, Occupational Health & Safety).
- Strip beds and collect dirty linen and make beds/sofa beds/roll-away cots, with precision, complying with appropriate efficiency and presentation standards.
- Clean bathroom fixtures (wash bathtub, all sinks and toilet); clean mirrors, pictures and towel racks.




- Dust furniture; replace supplies and collateral materials as needed.
- Clean coffee maker, iron/board, telephones and alarm clock.
- Maximize job efficiency and orderly presentation by maintaining supply cart.
- Promptly report lost & found items.
- Cross training and scheduling may result in assisting other sub-departments, i.e. laundry.
- Ensure the upkeep and immaculate presentation of the property at all times, i.e. reports maintenance concerns immediately without being asked.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Grade 12 Education.
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning products & safety measures (WHMIS).

Must be available 7 days a week, including Saturday and Sunday.
