Role Overview

Supply Ontario is seeking Senior Clinical Data &

- Integration Specialists to support Ontario Health initiatives involving electronic health data integration, data conformance, validation, and adoption.

The successful candidates will work across multiple healthcare technology initiatives and support the review, evaluation, validation, and readiness of clinical data contributed to Ontario Health repositories and platforms, including Ontario Lab Information System (OLIS), Digital Health Drug Repository (DHDR), Clinical Data Foundation (CDF), Comprehensive Medication Record for Ontarians (CMRO), Medical Imaging (MI), Primary Care Information Exchange (PCIE), and other clinical data assets.

This role requires deep expertise in HL7 v2.x, HL7 v3, FHIR, XML messaging, healthcare interoperability, integration engines, and health information systems, along with strong experience in clinical data conformance and standards-based message validation.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a Clinical Data Conformance &
- Integration Specialist supporting healthcare data adoption and integration projects.
- Work directly with Senior Project Managers, Product Teams, technical stakeholders, and clinical subject matter experts.
- Provide senior-level subject matter expertise in HL7 v2 and HL7 FHIR for healthcare data adoption and integration initiatives.
- Review, evaluate, test, validate, and implement healthcare organizational patient data for contribution to Ontario Health clinical data repositories.
- Assess ADT, laboratory, clinical, medication, and other healthcare data for standards compliance and conformance.
- Provide technical guidance to external clients and stakeholders developing local interfaces.
- Evaluate interfaces for readiness to contribute to or consume data from Ontario Health repositories and clinical assets.
- Manage multiple work packages simultaneously while ensuring contributed data complies with applicable HL7 v2 and FHIR standards.
- Validate data against Ontario Health EHR input specifications and applicable FHIR Implementation Guides (IGs).
- Determine readiness of data submissions through expert review of healthcare messaging standards.
- Conduct conformance testing, data validation, compliance assessment, and readiness evaluations.
- Act as a senior specialist and trusted advisor to external clients, stakeholders, partners, and data sources.
- Apply defined data integration methodologies to measure data conformance and validate contributed clinical data.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data integration and conformance issues.
- Work with a high degree of autonomy while proactively addressing issues and delivering against established objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers, product teams, technical teams, and clinical SMEs throughout implementation activities.

Mandatory Skills &

- Experience

- 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering electronic health data integration projects or operations.




- Strong expertise in acquisition, integration, and utilization of healthcare data.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with HL7 V2.x.
- Experience with HL7 V3 and healthcare interoperability standards.
- Robust knowledge of FHIR and XML messaging principles.
- 5+ years of experience with healthcare sector workflows and source-system technologies such as:
- Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)

- Strong hands-on experience working with Integration Engines / Interface Technologies.
- 5+ years of applied knowledge of HL7 health-standard message conformance and validation tooling.
- Experience with tools such as Caristix, XMLSpy, 7Edit, Postman, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of healthcare clinical workflows and information flows using HL7-based messages.
- Experience with healthcare system integration and data adoption initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex conformance testing and data validation requirements to technical teams, project managers, and clinical SMEs.

- Diagnostic Viewers
- Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
- Clinical repositories
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms

- Strong understanding of how clinical information flows through HL7-standard-based messages.
- Experience delivering healthcare integration and adoption initiatives.
- Applied knowledge of HL7 messaging standards across versions 2, 3, and FHIR.
- Experience with HL7 v3 products, including CDA.
- Familiarity with implementation guides from multiple standards development organizations.
- Experience using healthcare standards validation and conformance tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working across complex healthcare environments.

- Develop and maintain data conformance guidelines and supporting materials.
- Perform HL7 standards-based validation and conformance testing.
- Support data contribution and adoption initiatives.
- Validate clinical data against applicable Ontario Health EHR requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to implementation teams and external stakeholders.
- Support the development of integration approaches and data validation processes.
- Contribute to knowledge materials supporting clinical data integration and adoption.
- Support the readiness of data for Ontario Health electronic health record assets and repositories.

Assignment Details
- This engagement is for 5 Senior Clinical Data &
- Integration Specialists, with staggered start dates originally planned between January and March 2026.
- The assignment is for 252 Business Days, with an option to extend for up to an additional 252 Business Days at Ontario Health’s discretion.
- The assignment may also be extended using unused Business Days at Ontario Health’s discretion.
- Resources must comply with all applicable Ontario Health policies and procedures.
- Ontario Health systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario without prior written approval.
- Ontario Health assets, including laptops and related equipment, cannot be removed from Ontario without prior written approval.
- The position is currently classified as Hybrid.
- The resource may be required to work onsite according to the Hiring Manager’s discretion.
- Current onsite requirement is up to 5 days per week, subject to change at the Hiring Manager’s discretion.
- Public Sector experience is not required; technical healthcare-sector experience is desirable.
