Hours: Approximately 15–20 hours per week

Compensation: $25/hour

Schedule & Availability

This is a field-based retail growth position requiring availability 4–5 days per week, depending on the week’s store visits, demonstrations and business-development activities.

Saturday and Sunday availability is mandatory.

The successful candidate must also be available for approximately 2–3 weekdays per week for store outreach, retailer follow-ups, sales activities, meetings and other growth initiatives.

Hours may vary by day. Weekend shifts will frequently include scheduled Pet Valu demonstrations and store visits.

Transportation Requirement A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a car are required for this position.

The intern will travel between participating Pet Valu locations throughout Toronto and the GTA for demonstrations, merchandising checks, retailer meetings and other scheduled field activities.

Candidates must be comfortable travelling independently between multiple retail locations.

Requirements





- Currently enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited Canadian college or university and eligible under Venture for Canada’s Internship Program.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada under VFC program requirements.
- Available approximately 15–20 hours per week across 4–5 days.
- Must be available Saturdays and Sundays.
- Available approximately 2–3 weekdays per week, depending on business needs.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a car are mandatory.
- Able and willing to travel throughout Toronto and the GTA to scheduled Pet Valu locations.
- Comfortable conducting in-store product demonstrations and speaking directly with customers.
- Comfortable communicating professionally with Pet Valu owners, managers and store employees.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Comfortable making sales calls and conducting retailer outreach.
- Organized, dependable and capable of working independently in a field-based setting.
