City Furniture & Appliances is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Sales Associate to join our Kamloops team.

This is a full-time sales position for someone who enjoys working with people, is motivated by achieving sales goals, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Our Sales Associates help customers find the right furniture, appliances, mattresses, and home products while providing a professional and friendly experience from start to finish.

Compensation

- Base salary: $3,170 per month
- Paid $1,585 per pay period
- Plus commission based on sales performance
- Opportunity to significantly increase overall earnings through commission

Sales Expectations This is a performance-based sales position with established sales quotas and targets.

Sales Associates are expected to:

- Consistently work toward and achieve individual sales quotas
- Build relationships with customers and identify their needs
- Follow up with customers on quotes and potential sales
- Develop strong product knowledge
- Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after the sale
- Contribute to the overall sales goals and success of the store

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and help them select the right products for their needs
- Sell furniture, appliances, mattresses, and other home products
- Explain product features, benefits, warranties, and available options
- Prepare quotes and write sales orders
- Follow up with customers and sales opportunities
- Maintain an organized, clean, and properly presented showroom
- Help set up, move, and rearrange merchandise on the sales floor
- Assist with customer pickups when required
- Help move furniture, appliances, mattresses, boxes, and other merchandise
- Work together with the entire store team and assist wherever needed





Physical Requirements While this is primarily a sales position, it is also a hands-on retail workplace. Everyone on our team helps when needed.

Applicants must be comfortable being on their feet throughout the day and able to safely lift and move furniture, appliances, mattresses, boxes, and other merchandise.

This may include helping customers with pickups, moving products around the showroom, setting up displays, and keeping the sales floor organized.

- Previous retail or sales experience is an asset
- Furniture, appliance, or mattress sales experience is an asset, but not required
