Territory Sales Representative – Electrical Industry

Position: Full time

ElectriXwest Agencies is an electrical manufacturers’ representative serving Alberta and the Northwest Territories. We represent a growing portfolio of electrical manufacturers and sell through the electrical distribution channel.

We are looking for a motivated Territory Sales Representative to call on electrical distributors, contractors and OEM customers. This is a field-focused position for someone who enjoys building relationships, finding opportunities and growing sales.

Responsibilities

- Make regular sales calls on electrical distributors, contractors and OEMs
- Develop relationships with branch managers, outside salespeople, purchasing teams, estimators and decision-makers
- Support distributor sales teams through joint calls, product training and opportunity follow-up
- Introduce new products and manufacturers to customers
- Identify upcoming projects, OEM applications and stocking opportunities
- Prepare and follow up on quotations
- Help customers with product selection and technical questions
- Develop new accounts while growing existing business
- Coordinate with our manufacturers on sales strategies, customer visits and product demonstrations
- Track sales activity, opportunities and follow-up requirements
- Travel throughout the assigned Alberta territory

Qualifications




- Electrical-industry experience is strongly preferred
- Previous outside sales, distribution, contractor or OEM experience is an asset
- Existing relationships within Alberta’s electrical market would be beneficial
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organized, dependable and consistent with follow-up
- Comfortable learning and presenting technical electrical products
- Self-motivated and able to manage a sales territory independently
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel

This is not an inside-sales or desk-based position. The successful candidate will spend most of their time in the market meeting customers, developing relationships and generating business.
