About the Position

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Part-Time Science Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons and helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a strong understanding of scientific concepts.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching, enjoys working with students, and is committed to creating a positive and supportive learning setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging and effective science lessons.
- Teach scientific concepts using a variety of instructional methods, including hands-on activities and experiments when appropriate.
- Create a positive, safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, assignments, and assessments as needed.
- Encourage students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills.
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues when required.
- Ensure appropriate classroom and laboratory safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications




- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of science subjects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create engaging and student-centered learning experiences.
- A patient, responsible, positive, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility to teach in British Columbia is an asset.
