About World of SUPPORT
World of SUPPORT is a forward-thinking organization dedicated to connect both employers and job seekers through World Of SUPPORT Platform. We believe in principled, sustainable growth and are committed to building a world-class digital presence through ethical, white-hat SEO practices. Join us to lead our organic strategy and make a measurable impact.
About the Role
We aren't looking for someone to just sprinkle keywords and check a meta-description box. We need an SEO professional who lives by the Three Principles—prioritizing Relevancy, Popularity, and Search Behavior above all else.
You will own the entire organic funnel, operating across the Three Disciplines (Technical, Content, and Off-Page). You will be a white-hat purist: we do not buy links, we do not use AI to write final copy, and we do not take shortcuts. Your mission is to ensure our pages are not just crawled, but chosen by users and rewarded by search engines.
This position is an incremental, net new work-integrated learning opportunity funded through the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP), designed to provide post-secondary students with hands-on, career-relevant experience.
Core Responsibilities (The 3 Disciplines)
1. Technical SEO (Crawl, Index, Rank)
· Audit site architecture, page speed, mobile usability, and security using Google Search Console and Screaming Frog SEO Spider (or SiteBulb). · Prioritize technical debt resolution first—ensuring bots can efficiently crawl and index our core content before any creative work begins.
· Collaborate with dev resources (leveraging platforms like Codeable.io if needed) to fix accessibility, privacy, and Core Web Vitals issues.
· Monitor core indexing health and troubleshoot crawl errors instantly.
1. Content Optimization (Gap Analysis & Intent Mapping)
· Conduct deep-dive competitor audits using SEMRush (or Ahrefs) to dissect competitor sitemaps (via /sitemap.xml) and reverse-engineer their winning pages. · Mine customer questions and keyword gaps to build content briefs that out-inform and out-help the competition.
· Use on-page tools like SERPrecon or SurferSEO to perfectly align content structure, internal linking,
and semantic relevance with actual search intent.
· Oversee a writer/researcher to fill existing website gaps—ensuring every page serves as a definitive "final destination" for the user.
1. Off-Page SEO (Outreach & Digital PR)
· Execute advanced link-earning strategies: identify broken backlinks across the web and pitch our pages as replacements. · Find unlinked brand mentions and convert them into high-authority backlinks.
· Lead promotional outreach for the high-value content built in the Content Optimization phase.
· Utilize backlink analytics within SEMRush/Ahrefs to track domain authority growth.
Reporting & Analytics (The Free Toolkit)
· Build transparent, actionable dashboards in Looker Studio (integrating GA4 and GSC) to report on keyword rankings, click-through rates, dwell time, and organic conversions.
· Translate raw data into strategic narratives—telling us why rankings shifted and what we do next.
What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
· Experience: Familiarity with SEO principles and tools through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships. 3+ years of hands-on experience is an asset but not required for student applicants.
· Tool Proficiency: Working knowledge of Google Search Console and GA4 is preferred. Exposure to SEMRush or Ahrefs, and crawler tools like Screaming Frog or SiteBulb, is a strong asset. Familiarity with page-specific tools (SERPrecon/SurferSEO) is a plus.
· The "No-Shortcut" Mindset: You believe that AI writes terrible final drafts (we use it only for outlining), and you would never touch a private link network. You consult Google's SEO Starter Guide and web.dev religiously.
· Soft Skills: You are equally comfortable diving into a robots.txt file (the introvert) and hopping on a call to pitch a journalist or broken-link webmaster (the extrovert).
· Education: You follow Search Engine Journal, Search Engine Roundtable, and regularly attend or watch sessions from MozCon, Brighton SEO, SMX, or PubCon—or are eager to learn from these resources.
