Job Summary: The seamstress main responsibility is to alter and tailor uniform garments based on customer orders and on specifications within the set timeframe. Duties and Responsibilities:

- Fit, alter and tailor uniform garments according to customer’s orders and specifications by hand or using sewing machines, collar dog machines, blind stitching and surging machines.
- Read and understand garment instructions on the customer’s purchase w orders of alteration of garments to determine type of alteration.
- Assemble orders which includes iron steaming, folding and packing
- Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education:

- Completion of secondary school
- Demonstrate the ability to sew, alter and repair garments
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines and steam iron machines (Blind stich, surging and collar dog machines)
