Acute Care Alberta (ACA) is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join the Acute Care Service Delivery Oversight (ACSDO) team, as Senior Advisor for Executive Operations. The Executive Office for ACSDO consists of four areas: Quality Management & Improvement, Operational Oversight & Coordination, Contracting & Commissioning Oversight, and Acute Care Strategy & Planning. This position plays a key role in supporting the Executive Lead and ensuring the effective coordination, operation and advancement of portfolio priorities. Reporting to the Executive Lead, the Senior Advisor provides senior-level operational, administrative and portfolio coordination support within a complex and fast-paced healthcare environment. The role works collaboratively with leaders across ACA, the CEO Office, service providers, partner agencies and ministries to coordinate priorities, support governance activities, facilitate communication and advance strategic and operational commitments. Description:
The Senior Advisor is responsible for providing senior operational, administrative and coordination support to the Executive Lead for Acute Care Service Delivery Oversight (ACSDO), including Acute Care Strategy and Planning, Operational Coordination and Oversight, Contracting and Commissioning Oversight, and Quality Management and Improvement. The role supports the effective management of portfolio priorities, commitments, issues and accountabilities. The role is accountable for executive office management, issues management, portfolio coordination, governance support, relationship management, project and initiative coordination, and oversight of key portfolio deliverables and commitments. The role supports the Executive Lead in managing competing priorities,
coordinating briefings, correspondence and communications, monitoring action items and commitments, and ensuring timely follow-through on operational and strategic priorities. The incumbent serves as a central point of coordination across the portfolio, facilitating communication, collaboration and alignment among leaders, teams and stakeholders. The role supports the planning, implementation and monitoring of portfolio initiatives, ensuring deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies and commitments are effectively managed and communicated. Working collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders, the Senior Advisor facilitates issue resolution, supports implementation activities and contributes to the successful execution of portfolio objectives. The Senior Advisor develops and coordinates executive materials and correspondence for senior leadership audiences. The role supports governance processes, decision implementation, progress monitoring and reporting activities, while contributing to the achievement of portfolio goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in health administration, health care management, business administration,
or a related healthcare field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare, government or another complex public sector environment. Demonstrated experience supporting a senior executive or complex leadership portfolio within a large organization.
Additional Required Qualifications: Previous experience working with government is an asset.
Experience supporting senior leaders within healthcare operations, service delivery, quality improvement, strategy or organizational transformation is preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare systems, including clinical and operational environments.
Experience leading or coordinating projects, initiatives, programs or organizational priorities within a complex healthcare, government or public sector environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholder interests, timelines and risks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
Experience supporting the implementation and monitoring of strategic, operational or organizational initiatives. Proven ability to work effectively in complex, energetic and politically sensitive environments. Excellent communication, relationship management, organizational and influencing skills. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, manage sensitive information with discretion and work independently with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise and professional materials for senior leadership audiences.
Preferred Qualifications: Clinical experience, or significant experience working within clinical operations or healthcare service delivery environments, is an asset.
Experience leading or coordinating complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and operational areas, is an asset. Formal project management education, certification or equivalent experience is an asset.
Experience working with physicians, clinical leaders, operational leaders and provincial healthcare stakeholders is an asset.
