A career as a Senior Analyst in Fund Accounting Operations at National Bank means acting as a key contributor in the delivery of various fund accounting activities while working closely and collaboratively with your team.
Through your knowledge of financial statements, your accounting experience, and your drive to make a difference through rigor and teamwork, you will have a positive impact in a complex business environment by helping identify business challenges and responding to the needs of various stakeholders in support of important initiatives.
National Bank’s Fund Accounting department is responsible for calculating the net asset values of investment funds, processing fund distributions, and producing their financial statements and tax returns.
Your role
- Analyze and resolve daily cash reconciliation breaks.
- Gather, compile, and verify the accuracy of data required for the various stages of interim and annual financial statement production.
- Participate in the annual audit process for mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards governing our activities.
- Identify and analyze partners’ needs to support decision-making and deliver effective solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners (clients, auditors, NBC Trust Bank, and other stakeholders) through ongoing collaboration.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of activities and processes.
Your team
Within the Fund Accounting department’s Financial Statements team, you will be part of a group of 20 colleagues. Surrounded by experts in finance, accounting, and taxation, we analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions that benefit our clients and partners. You will report to the Manager,
Financial Statements.

Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of mutual funds and financial statement production.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong time management and prioritization abilities.
- Critical thinking and a problem-solving mindset.
- CPA designation in progress.
Languages: French, English
