Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Appian Developer with solid expertise in Appian BPM, workflow development, IDP, and RPA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for application stability, production support, troubleshooting, performance improvement, automation, and continuous enhancement of Appian-based solutions.
The candidate should have strong L2/L3 production support experience and the ability to perform root cause analysis, resolve complex incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for Appian applications and ensure timely incident resolution within defined SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and workflow issues.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring production issues.
- Review fixes and validate solutions before deployment to production.
- Monitor applications proactively, identify anomalies, and implement preventive measures.
- Drive problem management by identifying recurring issues and developing automated solutions.
- Analyze and improve application performance, scalability, and system resilience.
- Support change management, release management, and production deployments.
- Develop and maintain Appian workflows, business processes, and integrations.
- Leverage IDP (Intelligent Document Processing) and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to reduce manual processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce response times.
- Collaborate with developers, QA,
infrastructure, business teams, and other stakeholders to ensure service continuity.
- Create and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and support procedures.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, governance, and enterprise development standards.
- Mentor junior team members on Appian development and production support best practices.
- Provide regular feedback to leadership regarding application health, risks, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on experience in Appian development and production support.
- Strong expertise in Appian BPM and Appian Workflow.
- Experience developing and supporting complex Appian applications.
- Strong understanding of L2/L3 production support and incident management.
- Hands-on experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem management.
- Experience with Appian integrations, APIs, web services, and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of IDP and RPA technologies.
- Experience with application monitoring, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, change management, release management, and deployment processes.
- Experience working within SLA-driven production support environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and client-facing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian certification is preferred.
- Experience working in enterprise/BFSI environments is an advantage.
- Experience with automation and process optimization.
- Experience mentoring developers or leading technical support activities.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
