SENIOR CONTROLS ENGINEER

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer to join a growing automated-equipment manufacturer. This position is ideal for an experienced controls professional with a solid background in PLC and HMI programming, machine integration, commissioning and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and debugging control systems, testing automated equipment, supporting installations and mentoring other team members.

Key responsibilities include:

- Programming and debugging PLCs using structured text and ladder logic
- Working with multiple PLC platforms, including Allen-Bradley, Bosch-Rexroth and Codesys
- Programming with RSLogix 5000/500 or Siemens STEP 7
- Testing, commissioning and installing automated equipment
- Starting up AC drives, servo drives and cut-to-length systems
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
- Updating drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
- Training customers and preparing project documentation
- Collaborating with mechanical engineering, testing and electrical teams




- Mentoring and supporting other employees The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree or college diploma in electrical engineering, electrical technology or a related discipline, along with at least five years of experience in electrical controls and PLC/HMI programming.

Candidates must be comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments and travelling approximately one-third of the time for customer installations, commissioning and support.
