Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer with strong experience developing modern web applications across front-end, back-end, APIs, databases, and cloud-based environments.
The successful candidate will work within an Agile/Scrum delivery team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support enterprise web applications. The role requires hands-on expertise with React, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL, and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies such as Entity Framework.
The developer will also contribute to application architecture, accessibility compliance, automated testing, CI/CD, production support, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain full stack web applications.
- Develop modern responsive front-end applications using React and Next.js.
- Build reusable and maintainable React components using appropriate state-management and supporting libraries.
- Develop server-side functionality and APIs using Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript practices.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs supporting enterprise application requirements.
- Implement data access using Entity Framework or other Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies.
- Design and work with relational databases and develop efficient SQL queries.
- Translate business requirements, user stories, UI/UX designs, solution architecture, security requirements, and data models into technical designs and production-quality software.
- Develop scalable solutions with consideration for application performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.
- Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and back-end services.
- Participate in solution architecture, application design, technical specification development, and design reviews.
- Create object-oriented models and technical design artifacts using UML and applicable design tools.
- Implement responsive and accessible web applications in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and applicable accessibility standards.
- Apply AODA requirements and accessibility best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, regression, automated, performance, security, and accessibility tests as required.
- Support defect management, troubleshooting, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and implementation of short- and long-term fixes.
- Support application deployment, production releases, post-implementation activities, and ongoing application maintenance.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Use Git-based source control, feature branches, and DevOps practices within a concurrent development environment.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and review meetings.
- Provide technical estimates, development input,
design recommendations, and technical consultation to team members.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, Cloud Architects, Developers, Testers, and other technical stakeholders.
- Prepare implementation procedures, technical documentation, operational procedures, and application support documentation.
- Coordinate development activities and provide technical guidance to other team members.
- Provide knowledge transfer and technical walkthroughs throughout the engagement.
- Provide post-implementation and production support as required.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework or other Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) data access technologies.
- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js.
- Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Robust experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js.
- Knowledge and practical application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for web application development.
- Experience with common React libraries such as React Hook Form, React Query, Zustand, or comparable libraries.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
