Senior IT Project Manager – Cybersecurity & Infrastructure
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days in office, with a potential 3rd day depending on project needs
Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension and/or conversion to FTE
Target Start: September 11, 2026
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | 37.5 hours/week

- T4 - $61.36

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale cybersecurity and infrastructure projects , from initiation through completion.
- Own project scope, budget, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables .
- Manage multiple cybersecurity workstreams and coordinate delivery across technical and business teams.
- Partner closely with security and infrastructure engineering, solution design, intake, business sponsors, business leads, and third-party vendors .
- Establish and maintain strong project governance , ensuring projects follow established methodologies, policies, and controls.
- Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, rollout strategies, and implementation procedures.
- Continuously identify, assess, track, and proactively mitigate project risks and dependencies .
- Manage project resources across direct, matrixed, contractor, and vendor environments.
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies while effectively managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , including test planning, defect management, rollout planning, and readiness activities.
- Work with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are delivered to a high standard.
- Prepare cost-benefit analyses, project updates, and executive-level presentations .
- Present project status, risks, milestones,
and recommendations to steering committees, project sponsors, and VP/SVP-level stakeholders .
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and ensure alignment between technology solutions and business objectives.
- Successfully plan, execute, control, and close projects in accordance with established organizational policies and procedures.
What You Bring
Required
- 8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager.
- 8+ years of project budget management experience, including ownership of project financials.
- 8+ years of infrastructure project management experience.
- 8+ years managing Agile and Waterfall projects .
- 5+ years of experience with Jira, Confluence, and/or SharePoint .
- 5+ years facilitating Scrum ceremonies .
- 3+ years of experience delivering cybersecurity projects .
- Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery controls .
- Proven experience managing technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable presenting to VP/SVP-level executives and steering committees .
Nice to Have
- PMP certification .
- Experience with ServiceNow / ITSM .
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud technologies .
- Experience with Planview or Clarity PPM .
- Cybersecurity-related certifications or currently working toward one.
