Senior Legal Counsel – Asset Management & Investment Funds

Key Eligibility Criteria

- Minimum 3 years of experience in securities, investment management, or asset management law.
- Proven experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian securities regulations, specifically National Instrument 31-103 and National Instruments 81-101 through 81-107.
- Experience advising investment fund managers, portfolio managers, or ETF sponsors.





Responsibilities & Scope of Work

- Provide legal advice on the lifecycle of investment products, including launch, registration, and distribution.
- Draft and negotiate commercial and fund-related legal documentation, including prospectuses and offering memoranda.
- Advise on portfolio management activities and investment fund manager obligations.
- Collaborate with compliance teams and external counsel on regulatory developments and governance matters.
