- The expected base salary range for this position is $90/Hr - $95/Hr, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Senior Product Owner - Customer Notifications & Communications
Mission:
- Own and evolve Bank’s enterprise customer notification experience across digital channels, including push notifications, SMS, email, and in-app communications.
- The Product Owner will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, prioritizing delivery, and working across technology, business, marketing, operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure customers receive the right communication, through the right channel, at the right time.
- This individual will act as the primary owner for the notifications product and will be expected to quickly take ownership of an existing environment, understand current capabilities and dependencies, and drive both immediate priorities and the longer-term roadmap.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Own the product backlog and roadmap for bank's customer notification capabilities across push, SMS, email, and other digital channels.
- Gather and translate business and customer needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized requirements.
- Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams responsible for notification platforms, APIs, integrations, and supporting infrastructure.
- Coordinate notification requirements across multiple banking products, applications, and lines of business.
- Define how notifications are triggered based on customer events, transactions, activities, or business rules.
- Ensure consistency of the customer experience across different notification channels.
- Work with stakeholders to determine channel, timing, frequency, content requirements, customer segmentation, and priority of communications.
- Manage dependencies between notification services and upstream/downstream applications.
- Partner with privacy, legal, risk, compliance, cybersecurity, and marketing teams around customer communications.
- Support customer notification preferences, consent management, opt-in/opt-out requirements, and communication governance.
- Monitor notification performance, delivery success, failures, customer engagement, and overall product health.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
- Make product decisions and trade-offs based on customer impact, business priority, technical complexity, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive incident resolution and root-cause discussions when critical customer communications fail or are delayed.
Must-Have Experience:
- 7+ years of Product Management / Product Owner experience, preferably within large enterprise environments.
- Solid experience owning customer-facing digital products or platforms.
- Experience with multi-channel customer communications, including several of the following:
- Push notifications
- SMS/text messaging
- Email
- In-app messaging
- Web notifications
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end customer notification lifecycle, from triggering event through delivery to the customer.
- Experience writing and managing:
- Product roadmaps
- Epics and features
- User stories
- Acceptance criteria
- Product backlogs
- Strong experience working directly with software engineering, architecture, QA, UX, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience with APIs, system integrations, and event-driven applications from a Product Owner perspective.
- Strong understanding of how multiple systems/applications integrate into a centralized notification or communication capability.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to coordinate priorities across multiple teams and lines of business.
- Ability to take ownership of an established product quickly and operate with limited hand-holding.

Strong Pluses:
- Previous experience within banking or financial services.
- Experience owning notifications within a large consumer-facing organization with millions of customers.
- Experience with real-time or event-driven architectures.
- Experience with enterprise messaging, journey orchestration, or notification platforms.
- Exposure to tools such as Adobe Experience Platform/Journey Optimizer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Twilio, SendGrid, Firebase, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with mobile banking or other high-volume consumer mobile applications.
- Experience managing highly regulated or sensitive customer communications.
