Are you a seasoned Project Manager who thrives in dynamic construction environments and enjoys leading complex projects from concept to completion?
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team on a landmark AltaGas Project in Prince Rupert, BC. This is a 12-month fly-in, fly-out contract working a 14 days on / 7 days off rotational schedule, with travel and accommodations fully provided.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a significant marine and heavy civil construction project while working alongside a high-performing team committed to safety, excellence, and results.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily construction operations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and contract amendments.
- Review subcontractor performance and manage contractual obligations.
- Monitor project costs, profitability, forecasting, billing, and accounts receivable.
- Collaborate closely with project administration,
accounting, and field operations teams.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, stakeholders, consultants, and project teams.
- Coordinate the effective deployment of personnel, equipment, and resources.
- Support business development opportunities and client relationship management.
- Champion a strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture across the project.
What You Bring Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Registered, or eligible for registration, with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or ASTTBC.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience in construction.
- Proven experience successfully delivering large-scale marine, heavy civil, industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects.
- Strong background in contract administration, cost control, forecasting, and financial management.
- Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, schedules, and project deliverables.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
