As a Senior Risk Analyst on our team, you will be accountable for independently owning, executing, and sustaining Supply Ontario’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) mandate through the development of associated policies, programs, and processes that drive effective risk management across the organization.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Leading the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance/continuous improvement of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) policies, programs, processes, and tools, as well as the development of annual work plans and strategies to communicate changes and attain approval by the Board.
- Serving as Supply Ontario’s subject matter expert on enterprise risk, and preparing and presenting risk assessments, reporting and recommendations directly to SO leadership and to the Board of Directors and its committees.
- Acting as the primary point of contact on enterprise risk matters for internal, Ministry and 3rd party stakeholders, and is accountable for the management of all internal and external risk reporting obligations.
- Chairing, leading, and facilitating quarterly enterprise risk committee meetings, driving the agenda and guiding senior stakeholders through strategic risk discussions.
- Leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive Risk Appetite Framework and methodologies that aligns with SO’s business model and regulatory environment.
- Providing advice and support to executive leadership, managers and staff on the implementation of tools and resources to ensure alignment and effectiveness of risk processes.
- Establishing and maintaining the risk management governance and oversight structures and approach through partnerships with various senior stakeholders.
- Influencing senior executives to support development and sustainability of customized risk management strategies aligned with the overarching risk management strategy.
- Leading the development and execution of stakeholder engagement and communications plans to gain support and input to the risk management policy and program design and associated artifacts.




- Building enterprise risk capability across the organization by coaching business owners and management in the identification, assessment and management of risks within their areas of responsibility.
- Establishing and maintaining the annual ERM work plan and reporting calendar and ensures that risk reporting obligations to the Board and the Ministry are met.
- Independently executes all operational and administrative functions required to sustain the ERM portfolio, including drafting committee meeting minutes, scheduling stakeholder engagements, formatting Board-level presentations, and maintaining online document repositories.
- Providing risk and control input into the design and review of internal corporate and financial policies.
- Supporting Supply Ontario’s customer service standards, enabling client success and business/continuous improvement activities.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

- University degree preferably in Accounting, Business or Finance.
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressive financial and risk management experience in a government or broader public sector environment.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing or independently operating an enterprise risk management function

Knowledge and Skills:

- Risk management, performance management and management reporting theories, principles, and best practices as well as knowledge of the government approvals and decision-making processes.
- Risk assessment and management to provide leadership to the establishment, implementation, delivery, and sustainability of a risk management mandate across the organization
- Capacity to operate as a sole lead in a fully self-directed manner, including setting priorities, managing the annual risk cycle end to end and exercising independent professional judgement, while collaborating effectively with others across the organization.
- Government policy development and program delivery processes, multi-year fiscal planning, strategic business planning processes, and internal and external reporting requirements to provide expertise, options and recommendations pertaining to risk management.
- Consultation and communication skills to initiate and manage working relationships with colleagues throughout the organization.




- Project management skills and capacity to work in a self-directed manner and to collaborate with others in a team setting.
- Proven communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Highly developed analytical, problem recognition and resolution, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
