Restaurant Server & Bartender

Job Type: Full time / Part-Time Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Shift Supervisor

About the Role

We're looking for an energetic, customer-focused Server & Bartender to join our team. This dual role combines attentive table service with skilled bar work, ensuring every guest has an exceptional dining and drinking experience from the moment they sit down to the moment they leave.

Key Responsibilities

Serving Duties

- Greet guests warmly and present menus, answering questions about food and drink items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system
- Recommend menu items, specials, and pairings based on guest preferences
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards
- Check in with tables to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Process payments accurately and process checks in a timely manner
- Reset and clean tables between guests

Bartending Duties

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and portion guidelines
- Take drink orders from guests seated at the bar and from servers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar station
- Check IDs and monitor guests for signs of intoxication, following responsible alcohol service practices
- Manage bar inventory, track pour costs, and report low stock to management
- Maintain knowledge of the beer, wine,



and cocktail menu, including seasonal offerings

General

- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, balancing the till at end of shift
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the venue

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server and/or bartender preferred (1+ years combined)
- Working knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beer
- Valid alcohol server certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe, or local equivalent) required or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (kegs, cases, trays)
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in the applicable jurisdiction
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
