Hydra Steer, a division of The Gear Centre Group has been supplying new and remanufactured steering components to the automotive and heavy truck industry for over 20 years. Hydra Steer has been providing steering parts for virtually every type of application from 4x4's to Class 8's to material handling equipment.

We are currently looking for an entry level Service Technician for our west end Edmonton location and willing to train the right candidate with apprenticeship opportunities available.

Position Overview In this role as the Service Technician, you will be responsible for disassembling, washing and prep and rebuilding steering components found in all makes and models of mobile equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

- Perform mechanical repair work including but not limited to dismantling and re-assembly of units and removing and replacing components from vehicles
- Perform appropriate tests to verify that the fault has been corrected
- Fill out appropriate forms to track work performed and work recommended

Qualifications

- A strong mechanical aptitude is needed for this role
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability, self-initiative and a team player
- Ability to prioritize,



working within a fast paced shop environment
- Must have a valid Driver's License
