Role Description The Shift Lead is a part-time, on-site role based in Saskatoon, SK, responsible for supporting daily store operations and delivering an outstanding customer experience. In this role, the Shift Lead helps open and close the store, coordinates break and task schedules, and ensures visual merchandising and product presentation standards are maintained.
The Shift
Lead provides guidance to team members during their shift, assists with training and coaching, and supports the Store Management team in driving sales and meeting performance goals. Daily tasks include engaging with customers on the sales floor, handling point-of-sale transactions, managing inventory-related activities such as restocking and transfers, and promoting Cleo’s brand values and service standards.
The Shift
Lead also helps ensure that store policies, loss prevention procedures, and health and safety practices are consistently followed.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with proven ability to deliver strong customer service and build positive shopper relationships.
- Supervisory or shift lead experience, including coordinating staff activities, supporting training, and providing constructive feedback during daily operations.
- Sales and merchandising skills, including understanding of selling techniques, visual presentation standards, and basic knowledge of retail performance metrics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, leadership, and customers in a rapid-paced environment.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in handling transactions, inventory tasks, and store procedures.
- Comfort using point-of-sale systems and basic retail technology; willingness to learn new tools and processes as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in fashion or apparel retail is an asset; high school diploma or equivalent education is preferred.
