Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Shop Assistant/Cashier to join our agile retail team. Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product information and recommendations
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays that attract customer attention and promote products effectively
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Uphold store policies on cash handling, security procedures, and health & safety standards
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes and customer flow

Skills





- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual skills are a plus for engaging a wider audience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering roles is preferred, especially with technical or product-oriented environments
- Knowledge of basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash registers, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent organizational skills for maintaining tidy displays and managing stock levels
- Outstanding customer service skills combined with phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally
- Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during peak hours
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team members alike
