MCL Group is currently looking for a Shop/Yard Labourer with valid class 3 license.

The shop laborer is responsible for assisting in various tasks within a shop workplace, ensuring efficient operations and supporting the overall workflow. This role involves physical labor, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

- Material Handling: Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, equipment, and products.
- Assembly: Aid in the assembly of products or components according to specifications.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop area, including sweeping, mopping, and general tidying. Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Quality Control: Help ensure that products meet quality standards by inspecting for defects and reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Operational Support: Provide support to shop personnel as needed, including running errands, fetching tools or materials, and assisting with setup and cleanup for projects, operating a skid steer and forklift.
- Safety Compliance: Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling of equipment, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and participation in safety training sessions.




- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during daily operations, seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary.
- Flexibility: Willingness to perform a variety of tasks as assigned, adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
- Assist our mechanics with day-to-day tasks.

Requirements:

- Willing to do shop laboring/parts running.
- Experience with steam trucks and water trucks is an asset.
- Must have a Class 3 Drivers Licence to operate the steam truck.
- Skid steer and forklift experience is required.
- Experience pulling a trailer is an asset.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- Positive and safety conscious attitude.
