Next Alutech Ltd. is looking for an experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee our fabrication shop and supervise a team of approximately 5 employees.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ACM panel fabrication, sheet metal flashings, and metal cladding components. This is a working supervisor position, so the successful candidate must be comfortable both managing the shop team and participating in fabrication when required.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily work of approximately 5 shop employees.
- Plan and assign daily fabrication tasks to ensure production schedules are met.
- Fabricate ACM panels, aluminum panels, flashings, trims, and related cladding components.
- Read and understand shop drawings, architectural drawings, measurements, and fabrication details.
- Ensure panels and flashings are fabricated accurately according to drawings and project requirements.
- Perform quality-control checks before fabricated materials leave the shop.
- Coordinate material preparation and organization for upcoming projects.
- Operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and moving materials.
- Ensure materials are properly stored, labelled, and organized.
- Monitor shop productivity and help resolve fabrication or production issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Ensure employees follow company procedures and health and safety requirements.




- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and management regarding production priorities and deadlines.

Requirements
- Previous experience in ACM panel fabrication is required.
- Experience fabricating sheet metal flashings and trims.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to supervise and organize a fabrication team.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication details.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Robust knowledge of fabrication tools and equipment.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic fabrication calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment and meet project deadlines.

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who understands the ACM and architectural metal industry and can take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the fabrication shop. The right candidate should be able to organize the crew, maintain production quality, meet deadlines, and step in to fabricate panels and flashings when necessary.

Pay: $18.62-$38.33 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
