Description: An introductory survey of the forms and history of world drama in its performance context from the classical period to the nineteenth century. May include later works influenced by historical forms and one or more plays in the Theatre Erindale schedule of production. May include a research performance component. This course is also listed as DRE121H5.

Salary Sessional Instructional Assistant:

$55.25 per hour plus 4% vacation pay

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies in English, with a specialization in theatre history and/or dramatic literature and/or inter-cultural theatre and drama; solid academic record, evidence of currency in subject matter.

Duties: Your duties may include:



Meetings with the Course Instructor and other TAs; preparing handouts and tutorial/lecture notes; reading texts/manuals/ source materials; attending in-person lectures; leading weekly practical workshops/tutorials; grading students’ practical and written work; assisting students during office hours or via email. You may be expected to complete all grading for all student work that is completed during the term of the appointment, up to and including final exams/presentations. Please note this course will be in-person.
